Dr. Jake Brandvold was born and raised in a farming community in Eastern Washington, and grew up wanting to be a veterinarian. He attended Washington State University to earn his Zoology degree, and continued his education there for his DVM. While in Pullman, he fell in love and married his beautiful wife, Tammy, and they decided to relocate to Northwest Washington.
During his undergraduate education, Dr. B studied wildlife management for a semester in East Africa. While there, he developed an interest in veterinary public health. Dr. B also has special interests in exotic pets and wildlife, internal medicine, cardiology, and preventative medicine.
In his free time, Dr. B enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, camping, cycling, cooking, hitting the gym, and reading. He lives in Lynden with Tammy, their snugly pitbull Ellie, kitten Jasper, corn snake D’Artagnan, and Quarter Horse Cammy.
