Food Animal: Swine

The population of pigs here in Whatcom County is small, but we still enjoy including them in our practice.   We enjoy the diversity of working with the pet pot-belly as well as the FFA market hog.  We are equipped to provide both injectible and gas anesthesia  for many routine procedures for our pig patients including:  Spay/ Neuter, Tusk Trimming,  Hoof Trimming,  and Ocular Lavage.  We are also experienced in working with the geriatric pot-belly in need of extra attention.  We have worked closely with our local FFA groups for years and are happy to be a support to pig fair goers.  We offer both in hospital and farm visits to best meet your needs.   We also offer 24 hour service for those tough farrowings or other emergencies.
