Equine:
Ultrasound
Ultrasound
is an important tool in our diagnostic workshop.
We use ultrasound daily for routine pregnancy
evaluation and breeding work.
Its use in lameness allows us to pinpoint soft tissue
injuries in the limbs and help monitor healing and determine
return to exercise in equine athletes.
Ultrasound has also been incredibly useful in looking
at the equine heart and lungs.
Recently
ultrasound use has expanded into colic diagnostics giving us
one more look into such a complicated and devastating disease.
